The Break:
You name it, Bali’s got it. Perfect left-hand barrels? Yep, got it. You may have heard of a spot called Padang Padang. Wide-open, performance oriented beach breaks? No problem, got you covered. The dredgey barrels of Keramas served as the ‘08 proving ground for the biggest junior pay-day ever. There are even places to take a lesson if you’ve never been on a board. One trip through Bali and you’ll see why it’s been on surfers’ maps for so long. One thing is for sure, the world’s top best juniors we’ll be going mental.
The Swell:
Look to the south and you shall be rewarded.
The Locals:
It begins and ends with Rizal. But under him are a ridiculously talented pack of up-and-comers. Having some of the best waves in the world right in their backyard may have something to do with it. But with so many waves to choose from, there’s no need to let the crowd factor get to you.
